Community Education Project

The educational successes of children are often linked to the education of his or her family and community members. EachOne TeachOne offers educational opportunities for the broader community in Summer Preparation and independent learning at the Community Education Center.

Summer Preparation is offered to all interested students and covers material learned in sixth through twelfth grade. Forty students from four towns registered for summer school classes last year. Classes are held for six summer weeks to help students prepare for the upcoming academic year. This is critical for students who are entering middle school as most students receive an inadequate education in a multi-grade or single-room schoolhouse.

The Community Education Center will host a modest library and computers for scholarship teams and community members. The community has donated a room on the premises of the school for this center. With the help of our supporters we plan to have the center fully functioning by the end of the year.
